Notice is hereby given that Interior Health Authority (the “Health Authority”), through their agent Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide Rapid AI imaging software for acute stroke patients at Interior Health Authority sites for a term of 2 years at an estimated value of $411,873.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA, as agent for the Health Authority has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:

Rationale
Rapid AI is the only Health Canada approved imaging software that meets the Canadian Stroke Best Practice Guidelines. Rapid AI has been used as the primary imaging software in multiple clinical trials which led to its widespread adoption of endovascular therapy for ischemic stroke. It is the only software designed to integrate into the Health Authority’s existing medical imaging modalities and standard server infrastructure. This proprietary software is also compatible with all major CT, MRI scanners and PACS. The Rapid AI scans will act as an additional tool for decision making by neurologists and interventional radiologists. This additional tool is needed to help the Health Authority to meet stroke best practice targets and to reduce unnecessary transfers throughout the Health Authority which follows the right care right place initiative.
