Notice is hereby given that Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”) acting as an agent for Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, intends to directly award Contracts to the following supplier to provide Ventricular Assist devices for St. Paul’s Hospital, for a term of three (3) years with two (2) option years. With an approximate annual spend of $1.4M this contract will have an estimated extended value of $7M.
Abbott Medical Canada Co ($1,419,038.00 annually)
PHSA, as an agent for the Health Authorities has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reasons:
- The goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists due to an absence of competition for technical reasons.
