Copan Universe Module Modification

Notice is hereby given PROVINCIAL HEALTH SERVICES AUTHORITY (the “Health Authority”), through their agent Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide External Loader module for Copan Universe to Micronostyx INC for a term of one (1) year at an estimated value of $157,250.

PHSA, as agent for the Health Authority has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason
- the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:
       (a) to ensure compatibility with existing products/systems
BC Cancer requires a modular addition to an existing Copan Universe instrument to allow sample handling automation. The external loader module allows for automation of sample handling for self-collected samples, generating higher processing throughput to keep up with the demand & alleviate Health Human resources (HHR) shortages.
Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Krithika Krishnamurthy, Buyer by email to Krithika.Krishnamurthy@phsa.ca before 2:00pm Pacific Time, October 21, 2023. PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
