Notice is hereby given by the Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), as agent for Fraser Health Authority (“FHA”), Vancouver Coastal Health (“VCH”), Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), Northern Health Authority (“NHA”), Interior Health Authority (“IHA”) and Vancouver Island Health Authority (“VIHA”, collectively the “Health Authorities”), of its intent to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide ongoing video conferencing capability for the Health Authorities for a term of 1 year plus potential annual renewals up to a maximum of 5 years at an estimated total value of $918,000 annually.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA, as agent for the Health Authorities has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
- to ensure compatibility with existing products/systems
The Zoom for Healthcare Video Conferencing Tool (“Tool”) was used during the COVID-19 pandemic due to an immediate need for an out of the box solution for virtual patient care (in 1:1 and group settings) across all the Health Authorities. Over the medium term, there is a continual need for the Tool to ensure the continued delivery of virtual patient care throughout all Health Authorities until a strategy for virtual patient care solutions can be determined.
Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection to the attention of Diane Lindsay by email to diane.lindsay@phsa.ca before 2:00pm Pacific Time, July 29, 2022. PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
