Notice is hereby given that Northern Health Authority ("NHA", the “Health Authority”), through their agent Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide S3 object cloud storage to Northern Health Authority for a term of five (5) years at an estimated value of $ 244,000.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA, as agent for the Health Authority has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
- the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:
- Due to the absence of competition for technical reasons.
Rationale
NHA requires the S3 object cloud storage system to archive its data that is older than 30 days. Wasabi is the only vendor that satisfies all of the following technical requirements:
- The service integrates with our existing backup software (Veeam)
- The service is S3 compatible
- Flat fee service without ingress/egress fees (adding or removing data)
- The service provides data immutability (data cannot be changed or deleted)
- The service is hosted offsite within a Canadian datacenter
- The service must be available over the Internet
Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Jasjit Gill, Buyer, by email to jasjit.gill@phsa.ca before 12:00pm Pacific Time, March 6, 2023. PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
