Description
The BC Health Sector is investing in digital tools to enable information sharing, communication, and coordination across systems. To date, the patient journey across the health system has been fragmented, and information exchange between primary and acute care providers has been missing. Health professionals have not been adequately supported with digital tools and up-to-date clinical information. The province is identifying ways to improve quality and efficiency in clinical processes and workflows. Our goal is to enable digital tools to improve the care team experience and support better decision-making. 

The BC Health Sector is looking to procure a Product for provincial clinical data repository and API gateway software licenses. The Product must be founded on FHIR-based (Fast Health Interoperability Resources) standards and servers and able to scale across the province in an operationally reliable, high throughput, low latency, and secure way. The Product must be a full turnkey solution and able to meet the mandatory capabilities described in Appendix A (“Mandatory Capabilities”) – out-of-the-box. Specifically, these Mandatory Capabilities must be met by one single supplier with a single integration, not a consortium or a supplier who is partnering with other suppliers.
