    BID No.: PUR26-166-010
    Project Name: Fraser Heights Secondary School (Site 141) Roofing Upgrade

    1. Introduction
    Bids are solicited for a School Roofing Upgrade project at Fraser Heights Secondary (Site 141) at
    16060 - 108 Avenue, Surrey, BC V4N 1M1. Electronic bid packages will be available online on
    Bonfire at https://surreyschools.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/103265
    Note: Potential Bidders are advised that at the time of issuing this Invitation to Bid, School District
    No. 36 (Surrey) has not fully secured the anticipated funding necessary for the completion of this
    project. In the event that anticipated funding is not fully secured, it may be necessary to terminate
    the project prior to completion. Please refer to Part 1.3 Supplementary Conditions – Amendment
    #29.

    2. Closing time
    Bid needs to be submitted by the undersigned, no later than 14:00:00 (2:00:00 pm), April 02, 2026,
    local time through Bonfire.

    3. Site Visit
    A Mandatory Site Visit will be held at the main entrance of Fraser Heights Secondary (site 141) at
    16060 - 108 Avenue, Surrey, BC V4N 1M1 on March 17, 2026, at 02:30 PM.

    Contractors are responsible to confirm the existing site and building(s) conditions. Claims for
    additional costs will not be entertained with respect to existing conditions that could have been
    reasonably ascertained by a detailed inspection of the site. Bids will not be accepted by
    Contractors who do not attend the scheduled mandatory site visit.

    4. Submission format and requirement
    Bids must be uploaded to Bonfire at:
    https://surreyschools.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/103265
    o You will receive an email confirmation receipt with a unique confirmation number once
    you finalize your submission
    • Each Bid must be accompanied by a duly executed Bid Bond in the amount equal to 10% of
    the total amount of the bid and Consent of Surety by the surety company providing the 50%
    Labour and Material Bond and 50% Performance Bond of the bid price. Scanned copies will
    be accepted for digital submission in the designated “BID BOND” upload folder, awarded
    vendor must present Original Hard Copies at the time of contract signing.
    • The lowest or any Bid will not necessarily be accepted. School District No. 36 (Surrey)
    reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

    5. Contractor Qualification
    1. Roofing Contractor to perform specified Work must:
    (a) Have a minimum ten (10) years’ work experience with materials specified or similar
    comparable products,
    (b) Be a member in good standing with Roofing Contractors Association of BC (RCABC),
    (c) And be licensed and insured for Place of Work.
    2. Roofing Contractor must be pre-approved and certified by Membrane Manufacturer for
    specified materials and installation type.
    (a) Contractor’s installers must be certified for installation of specified materials.
    (b) Owner reserves right to reject any proposed Subcontractor for reasonable cause.
