Description
Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the Regional District of Central Okanagan (the “District”) invites Proposals from suitability qualified and experienced companies, interested in performing works to complete a watermain extension approximately 337 metres in length, plus associated site works, for expansion of the Falcon Ridge Water System located on Hawk Road, Falcon Ridge Crescent, and Peregrine Road near Highway 33 within the community of Joe Rich, east of Kelowna, BC.
Full details of the Work required is provided in Part A of this RFP.  A summary of the Work is as follows:
Location: The Place of the Work is Hawk Road/Falcon Ridge Crescent/Peregrine Road, Kelowna, BC, as shown on the Drawings.
Contract Time: The following are key milestone dates required for the Work:
  • The Work may commence anytime after: October 22, 2022.
  • Substantial Performance of the Work must be achieved no later than:  November 15, 2022
  • Total Performance of the Work must be achieved no later than 30 calendar days following Substantial Performance.
Form of Contract: The Contract placed as a result of this RFP will be the MMCD (Master Municipal Construction Documents) 2009 Unit Price Contract, together with supplementary conditions as detailed in Part C of this RFP.
RDCO Board Bylaw Approval & Provincial Approval:  Respondents are to note that following completion of this RFP process and selection of a ‘Highest-Ranked Proposal’ in accordance with the process detailed in Part B of this RFP, the District will be required to complete the following steps before it is able to execute a contract for the Work: i) RDCO Board Bylaw approval, and ii) Provincial Approval, including completion of a 60-day Quashing Period.  Should all approvals be received, the District expects that it will be able to execute a contract for the Work on October 22, 2022.
