Description
Through this Request for Proposals, the City of Merritt invites Proposals from engineering firms experienced in dike design and construction, to perform design, engineering and related services for the City’s project to construct ~180 meters of waterside diking along the East bank of the Coldwater River within Merritt, BC.  This project is part of the City of Merritt’s Flood Mitigation Plan, in response to flooding that occurred in November 2021.
Key Details for the Project are as follows:
  • Total Estimated Project Construction Cost: $1,250,000 (this estimate is for construction only and excludes; design & engineering costs, other consulting fees, and contingency).
  • Project Timeline: Preliminary Design complete by May 31, 2023; Detailed Design complete by July 31, 2023. Permitting to occur during 3Q & 4Q 2023; Project Construction to occur in 2024.
