    Description
    Summary Details:The District requires a person or company to provide FireSmart Program Coordination contracted services to lead and facilitate FireSmart related activities within the District of Summerland. FireSmart activities are supported, developed and implemented in accordance with Provincial guidelines and the direction and policy provided by the District. The Contractor will appoint a person as the FireSmart Program Coordinator but may use other personnel to support this role. The District has received grant funding for the first phase of the work. The Contractor will apply for grant funding to attempt to secure funding for future work.

    The RFP documents set out:
    1. The details of the goods or services that the District is seeking, as further described in Section 2 - Deliverables;
    2. The process for submission, evaluation and award of the Agreement;
    3. The proposed terms and conditions of the Agreement; and
    4. The forms which outline the information a Proponent should submit in their Proposal.

    Submission of Proposals
    To be considered, Proposals must be submitted via BC Bid’s Supplier “e-Bidding” submission functionality or by email in accordance with the instructions in the RFP.
    Proposals must be received no later than the RFP Closing Date and Time. It is solely the responsibility of the Proponent to ensure that the Proposal is received on time. There will be no public opening.

    Term of Engagement:
    The Agreement shall be valid from the time of contract execution until June 30, 2025, with two the option to renew for up to two (2) additional periods of two (2) years upon the mutual agreement of both parties.
