Summary Details:This Request for Proposals is an invitation by the District of Summerland (the “District”) to prospective Proponents to submit non-binding Proposals to upgrade the present hydraulic valve irrigation system at Living Memorial Park baseball fields No. 2 & 3 to an electrical valve irrigation system. The work starts at the current main line keybox and the Contractor shall utilize existing main and lateral water lines where possible. The Contractor is expected to provide all materials, equipment and labour to complete the project.

Submission of Proposals
To be considered, Proposals must be submitted via BC Bid’s Supplier “e-Bidding” submission functionality or by email in accordance with the instructions in the RFP.
Proposals must be received no later than the RFP Closing Date and Time. It is solely the responsibility of the Proponent to ensure that the Proposal is received on time. There will be no public opening.
Term of Engagement:
The District’s preference is for the successful Proponent to commence work upon completion of the spring baseball season (approximately June 15, 2024) and to complete the work prior to any field bookings in the fall (dates TBC, typically mid-September if any).

The District is subject to the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (Chapter Nineteen), the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (Chapter Five), and the New West Partnership Trade Agreement; however, it is not anticipated that this procurement will be within the scope of those agreements
