    Description
The Business Risk Management (“BRM”) Branch in the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and Food (“Ministry”) administers a suite of insurance and income stability programs that are designed to work together to enable B.C.'s agricultural producers to manage business risks that are beyond their control (production losses, severe market volatility, extreme weather events or disasters). These programs play a critical part in providing tools for farmers to manage both production and financial risks and are essential to encourage and foster continued investment in the sector.

The successful delivery of these programs includes ensuring that communication and outreach meet the needs of B.C. producers. To encourage enrolment, farmers across the province must be aware that these programs exist and clearly understand how these programs can help them, which requires concerted and ongoing marketing efforts focused on behaviour change. Once engaged, farmers need to be able to understand both how these programs could support their individual farming operations and the coverage options that will best help them to manage their farm business risks.

The Ministry is seeking a Contractor to undertake market research, using primary and secondary sources, develop a Marketing and Communications Plan (“Plan”), develop creative assets and communication tools to support the Plan, and support initial delivery of the activities identified in the Plan

    Contract duration

The estimated contract period will be 22 month(s).
