    Description
    The Ministry is seeking a contractor to design and facilitate a grants program to support engagement for policy co-development with community partners across the province as part of the Policing and Public Safety Modernization Initiative. British Columbia (BC) is taking a phased approach to advance work on this initiative, which includes consideration of the recommendations of the Special Committee on Reforming the Police Act (the “Special Committee”). 

    There is a separate engagement strategy to engage with Indigenous Rightsholders, including Modern Treaty Nations, and Indigenous leadership groups.


    The term of this contract is expected to commence in mid-September 2023 and will conclude on a firm date of March 31, 2024. This period includes a provision for all services to be fully completed, delivered, and accepted by the Ministry within the specified timeframe. Upon serving written notice to the Contractor, a minimum of 30 days before the current term's expiration, the Province reserves the right to exercise its sole discretion in extending the duration of this Agreement for an additional period of twelve (12) months. The extended term shall maintain the same terms and conditions as specified in the original agreement, unless any amendments are mutually agreed upon in writing by both parties prior to the commencement of the extension. 

    The total budget for the Initial Term is capped at $75,000, inclusive of all fees, expenses, and travel costs.
