Description
- Conducting Owner Hazard Identifications and Employer Assessments;
- Developing and reviewing of Site-Specific Safety Plans & Traffic Management Plans;
- Planning, organizing and completion of site inspections/audits;
- Responding to emergency situations/events (i.e. major workplace incidents, floods);
- Conducting safety research and developing written publications, procedures, reports and other written materials;
- Developing and delivering safety-related training;
- General safety, environmental and hygiene related testing such as fit testing, noise testing, air quality testing/monitoring;
- Conducting Employer/Owner accident/incident investigations;
- Acting as Qualified Coordinator on Ministry Day Labour projects; and
- Ability to return calls within 24 hours and to travel to various areas of the Province on short notice.
The contract(s) will be for a period of two (2) years, ending June 30, 2026, to a maximum of $75,000 for each contract; however, the Consultant should be aware that there is no guarantee that any work will be assigned under this Contract and the Consultant has no exclusive right to any or all work throughout the duration of the Contract.
At the discretion of the Ministry, and subject to available appropriation and satisfactory performance, there is an option-to-renew the term of this agreement for one (1) additional two-year term.
