    Simon Fraser University (“SFU”) is located on British Columbia's west coast, and boasts three distinctive campuses, Burnaby, Vancouver, and Surrey.  SFU has matured into one of the world’s leading teaching and research universities with more than 26,000 students, 2,700 faculty and staff, and 200,000 alumni in 145+ countries.

    The Burnaby Campus opened in 1965 with 6 buildings. Currently, about 40% of the buildings are over 30 years old. There are currently over 60 buildings on Burnaby campus.

    Facilities Services is responsible for the stewardship of Simon Fraser University's lands and buildings. Our responsibilities include campus planning, facilities planning, real estate and property management, development of new buildings, maintenance, operation and renovation of buildings, grounds and utility systems, space and system inventory record keeping, and support for sustainability initiatives across the three campuses. In all, we provide the above services for more than 432,000 square meters of campus, 156.8 hectares of land.

    This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation by Simon Fraser University (“SFU”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Civil Prime Contractor Services – West Parking Lot, as further described in Part 2 – The Deliverables (the “Deliverables”).
