PRE-ADVERTISEMENT OF TIMBER SALE LICENCE
TA1598 – Cascadia TSA – Skeena Business Area
BC Timber Sales – Skeena Business Area is evaluating the potential advertisement of Timber Sale Licence (TSL) TA1598 in early 2026. This two-block TSL is located in the Limonite and NoGold Pricing Areas of the Cascadia Timber Supply Area (TSA).
One of the blocks is currently being modified to include additional area; therefore, the final TSL package and associated information is not yet available.
Due to the location of the TSL and seasonal weather conditions, on-site access may be limited during the advertising period. To support interested parties, this pre-advertisement information package is being provided for viewing purposes only.

Known Field Safety Hazards:Multiple roads within TSL TA1598 have steep grades exceeding 18%. TSL TA1598 contains areas of steep slopes that are greater than 35% in areas where ground-based harvesting is planned. Due to the avalanche hazard associated with the Kleanza – No Gold Mainline crossing of Currant Creek (Sta.6+016 - 6+196) all road building and harvesting operations for TSL TA1598 Block TElm063 must be completed between May 1st and November 15th. This sale is in a Grizzly Bear Identified Watershed and has signs of heavy grizzly bear use (i.e.: trails), forest workers should be made aware of the higher-than-normal occurrence of grizzly bears.
