Description
The Ministry requests written Proposals from professional, qualified, and experienced companies for a pilot project on speed over distance across segments along a specified corridor within British Columbia. The Ministry wishes to procure an average speed solution that utilizes automatic licence plate recognition (ALPR) cameras installed at two distant locations of a rural highway for collection of speed data, inclusive of required technology and services based on the requirements stated in this RFP.
The solution sought by the Ministry would be used for collecting average speed on corridors within the provincial highway network that have safety concerns (i.e., high numbers of collisions).
This RFP is for the services of a Proponent who has knowledge and experience with average speed technology, available equipment, and software and whose solution can successfully meet the requirements of the Ministry’s Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and Security Threat and Risks Assessment (STRA).
