    Notice of Proposed Procurement (NPP) – Solicitation number 1000264764

    This requirement is for: the Department of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC)

    This procurement is reserved for beneficiaries of the following Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement (CLCA): Nunavut Land Claims Agreement (https://www.tunngavik.com/documents/publications/LAND_CLAIMS_AGREEMENT_…) under Article 24.

    This solicitation of offer is limited to Offerors registered on the Inuit Firm Registry (IFR) (https://inuitfirm.tunngavik.com/search-the-registry/).

    Only Offerors registered on the IFR may qualify for contract award. Offerors must be registered on the IFR by offer closing.

    Description of the Requirement:

    The Department of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) has a requirement for snow removal and sanding services at various CIRNAC Properties in Iqaluit, Nunavut.

    The provision of snow removal and sanding services will take place at the following CIRNAC properties:

    1. Parking lot of building 918 (Approx. 150 sq. m)

    2. Driveways at staff houses numbers 424, 426 and 474 (Each driveway approx. 30 sq. m)

    3. Tundra Buddies Daycare building 2100 (Approx 594 sq. m)

    The Contractor will be responsible for knowing boundaries of areas to be plowed and will be responsible for any damages or repairs caused to the properties.

    The Contractor will be required to transport the plowing equipment to and from the sites.

    The Contractor is responsible to treat all main roads, parking lot to the building 918, the staff houses driveway areas for house numbers 424, 426 and 474 and the Tundra Buddies Daycare to ensure that they are reasonably safe for vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Contractor must also ensure that vehicle access to and from the properties and municipal roads are free of hazards that may interfere with safe flow of traffic. The Contractor is obliged to monitor the site according to the weather in the vicinity and apply sand as appropriate.

    Level of Security Requirement:

    There are no security requirements.

    Applicable Trade Agreements:

    None.

    This procurement is set aside from the international trade agreements under the provision each has for measures with respect to Aboriginal peoples or for set-asides for small and minority businesses.

    Further to Article 800 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), CFTA does not apply to this procurement.
