    Description

    The scope of work consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for wharf reconstruction at Harbour Breton, NL, in strict accordance with the specifications and accompanying drawings, and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract. Work will consist of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:

    • Demolition and removal of a portion of the existing wharf (including clean-up of collapsed portions of the wharf currently lying on the bottom). Demolition also includes removal of a rock infilled area, walkway and gangways on the south side of the existing wharf footprint. The start and end points of the new work are to be coordinated with the Departmental Representative, as the intent is for the new work to be adjacent to existing pile caps.

    • Construction of a new timber pile wharf, complete with reinforced concrete deck and concrete pile caps, to the dimensions as indicated on the drawings.

    • Supply and installation of mooring cleats, structural timber for coping, wheelguard, wheelguard blocking, bracing, fenders, ladders and associated hardware for new wharf construction.

    The Contractor must perform and complete within 26 weeks of contract award.
