    Title: Okeover Electrical Reconstruction, Powell River, BC

    Project Description:

    Work of this contract involves upgrading Okeover Harbour existing electrical system 120/240V, 100A 1- phase to 120/240V, 600A 1-phase serving the marina and a local office located in Powell River, British Columbia. The work generally consist of, but is not limited to the following:
    • Provision of new 600A 120/240 1 phase service entrance, complete electrical distribution to the marina via cable trays and to one local office with overhead lines.
    • Modification, re-wiring, installation of RC enclosures supplied by Canada, and test components inside enclosures as required for safe and fully functioning RC shore power kiosks. The components include the RC panelboards, main and branch breakers, locking receptacles, luminaire, photocell, and all internal wiring, connections, fittings, etc.
    • Pick-up, shipping and handling of RCs from DFO pick-up site and delivery to Okeover project site shall be part of this contract.
    • Provision of Seismic Engineering services including Engineered shop drawings showing seismic anchoring and bracing required for MDP enclosure, pole mounted luminaires and all enclosure mounting on wharfs, and cable tray(s).
    • Provide lamacoid labels, test and repair all interior and exterior devices to fit in RC’s as per this Contract, including all fittings, wiring, connections, fasteners, finishes, adjustments, etc., as required for a safe and continuously energized unit, securely fastened to the floats.
    • Submit shop drawings and product data of interior and exterior devices assembled in MDP’s for approval by Engineer and Owner prior to purchase.
    • Provision for tool lockups and job site security.
    • Work of the Contract comprises the provision of all permits, approvals, written instructions, schedules, plans and submitting of same to the Owner, Engineer, and to the AHJ as required, prior to, during, and after the execution of the work.
    • Existing grounding and bonding to be replaced with new grounding and bonding system.

    The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by March 12 , 2025.

    *Drawings and specifications will only be shared with the Bidders who qualify during Phase 1, when the ITT document is distributed in Phase 2 of the process.

    The estimated contract period will be 4 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/10/31.
