    William Head Institution Garbage Removal and Waste Services

    This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Pacific Region, William Head Institution.

    Trade agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), Canada free trade agreements with Chile/Colombia/Honduras/Panama, Canada-Peru Free Trade Agreement, Canada Korea Trade Agreement (CKTA).

    Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid.

    Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid.

    This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Indigenous Suppliers.

    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to remove and dispose of non-organic garbage waste, mixed recyclables, and waste wood items from William Head Institution in Metchosin on Vancouver Island B.C.

    Objectives: The contractor must provide comprehensive services that consist of scheduled and on call removal of all non-organic garbage waste, mixed recyclables, and waste wood items.

    The Contractor must remove and dispose of all non-organic waste, mixed recyclables and wood waste in accordance with the Environmental Management Act in the province of BC and all municipal, provincial and federal bylaws and regulations that apply. The Contractor must take all waste streams for disposal to only authorized waste disposal facilities. The Contractor must adhere to all rules and procedures in effect at all disposal facilities.

    Deliverables: The Contractor must provide scheduled and on call pick-ups for the disposal of three
    distinct streams of waste for the Correctional Service Canada. The Contractor must provide all
    required waste containers. The contractor must provide all labour, vehicles and trucks, fuel, maintenance,
    installation and removal of rental containers in order to remove, transport and dispose of all non organic
    garbage waste, mixed recycles and wood waste at William Head Institution.

    Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: None.
