    NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT

    Canada has a requirement for the items detailed below:

    UNSPSC: 46101600 –Ammunition

    Description: XM-30 Non-Electric Blasting Cap Practice Inert

    A requirement exists to resupply Canada with the XM-30 Non-Electric Blasting Cap Practice Inert. The XM-30 Non-Electric Blasting Cap Practice Inert replicates the size, shape, and handling characteristics of a real detonator, but it contains no explosive or initiating components. The XM-30 Non-Electric Blasting Cap Practice Inert ensure that soldiers can develop the correct techniques and confidence prior to working with live explosive components, significantly improving safety and competence.

    Quantity: 15,000 units - Delivery to Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot (CFAD) Dundurn, Dundurn, Saskatchewan on or before 15 May 2027.

    25,000 units - Delivery to Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot (CFAD) Angus, Angus, Ontario on or before 15 May 2027.

    Unit of Issue: Each, per unit

    This procurement is subject to the Controlled Goods Program.

    3. The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.

    4. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.

    5. Barring any other conditions or international sanctions, Canadian Suppliers, Suppliers of an Applicable Trading Partner and Suppliers of a Non-Trading Partner, are eligible for this solicitation of offers.
