    TITLE

    Portable Currency Discriminator Machines

    OBJECTIVE

    The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID) has a requirement for 8 currency discriminator machines and 8 compatible printers to be delivered to the CRA's regional locations and Headquarters (HQ) location across Canada. Included is on-site or virtual operational training within two (2) weeks from the date of delivery, to instruct CRA employees on the proper operation of these machines.

    It is the CRA’s intention to award one Contract to fulfill the requirement. The period of the contract will be for one (1) year.

    CONTRACTOR SELECTION METHODOLOGY

    The evaluation of proposals will be performed as follows:

    Step 1 – Evaluation against Mandatory Criteria

    Step 2 – Evaluation of Financial Proposals

    Step 3 – Basis of Selection

    A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation and meet all mandatory technical evaluation criteria to be declared responsive. The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for award of a contract.

    Step 4 – Conditions Precedent to Contract Award

    Step 5 – Contract Entry

    The CRA reserves the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.

    RFP CLOSING DATE:

    Bids must be received on or before April 26, 2024, no later than 14:00 EDT, as follows:

    To submit a bid using the Connect service, the Bidder must send as early as possible, at least six business days prior to the solicitation closing date and time (in order to ensure a response), an email that includes the bid solicitation number to the Bid Receiving Unit (BRUg@cra-arc.gc.ca) requesting to open a Connect conversation. In the email, the Bidder must include the name and email address of all individuals who need to participate in the Connect conversation.

    Bids must be submitted by using the Connect service (which can be found at https://www.canadapost-postescanada.ca/cpc/en/business/postal-services/…) provided by the Canada Post Corporation.

    Due to the nature of this solicitation, electronic transmissions of a proposal by facsimile is not considered to be practical and therefore will not be accepted.
