    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service of Canada has a requirement to replace sprinkler heads that have expired due to age and require lifecycle replacement at Matsqui and Fraser Valley Institution. The work will involve the following:

    Objectives: To replace the existing deficient sprinkler heads with the same or equivalent make and model to ensure fire suppression continuity in accordance with the building’s original fire suppression design specifications and NFPA 13 standards.

    Deliverables:

    The contractor must provide and install the new sprinkler heads in accordance with NFPA 13 standards.

    The contractor must provide equipment such as or similar to a Dropmaster™ vacuum system to connect to the sprinkler system that will create and maintain a vacuum within the system and upon removal of a sprinkler head will create a siphoning effect preventing spills or drips in the area.

    New sprinkler head manufacturer’s shop drawing/specifications must be provided to Facilities Management for each type of sprinkler head replaced.

    Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none.

    The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within thirty-four (34) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
