    Routine Detailed Inspections (RDI) and Report for Transport Canada Port Facility False Bay, B.C.

    1. Description of the Requirement

    Transport Canada requires a Routine Detailed Inspection (RDI) is to be conducted for the False Bay Port Facility to assess and report on the condition of its structural components, estimate remaining service life, and identify repair and maintenance measures required to support continued serviceability. The inspection is intended to inform short term repair requirements as well as long term maintenance (25-year period), operational, and asset management planning, including considerations related to future investment or divestiture.

    The scope of work will include examination of all structural elements located in the submerged, intertidal, and above water zones of the facility. The inspection is expected to require the use of a commercial diving team and/or a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) due to the marine environment and the remote location of the site, which is accessible only by marine vessel or seaplane.

    2. Period of the Contract

    The project must be completed by 31 March 2027.
