    This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Dorchester Penitentiary (Medium, Minimum and Shepody Healing Center), Atlantic Institution, Springhill Institution and Nova Institution.

    Trade agreement: This procurement is not subject to any trade agreement.

    Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid.

    Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid.

    Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Indigenous Suppliers.

    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.

    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide dental laboratory services for Correctional Service of Canada (CSC)’s four (4) institutions situated in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

    Objectives:

    The contractor must provide dental laboratory services to the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) for CSC clients in federal institutions, on an “as & when requested basis”. The contractor must provide dental laboratory services to CSC's five (5) institutions, located in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

    Deliverables:

    • The contractor must manufacture full and partial dentures and bite planes after receipt of impression(s) and as per the dentists’ directions ;

    • For dentures that do not fit, as per impressions, the contractor must adjust the dentures to ensure proper fit at no additional costs;

    • If dentures or bite planes are returned for adjustments, as a result of improper initial manufacture, the contractor must modify, and re-align them, without additional costs;

    • The contractor must repair and reline dentures as per the dentists’ directions;

    The contractor must return the finished dentures and bite planes, including those for which the contractor had to perform normal repairs, to the user institution within five (5) working days. The contractor must perform emergency repairs and return the repaired dentures or bite planes to the user institution within forty-eight (48) hours.

    The Contractor must use of Lucitone 199 in the products the contractor provides, unless the CSC project authority or designate requests otherwise. The contractor must use bioform I.P.N. for teeth.

    The type of work CSC may request are included in the price list. Products include, but are not limited to as: dentures, partials (prices without teeth), repair (prices without teeth and tooth only).

    Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none.

    Duration of Standing Offer and Time Frame for Delivery:

    Period of the Standing Offer: The Work is to be performed during the period of November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2024 with the option to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods.
