    Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest priced compliant bid.

    Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business: This procurement is open to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses. All interested suppliers may participate. However, suppliers are to note that this requirement is subject to a preference for Indigenous suppliers and will be set-aside under the federal government Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business (PSIB) if Canada receives two or more responsive bids from Indigenous businesses who meet the requirements of the PSIB.

    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) has a requirement to replace the existing Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), extended battery module (EBM) and the external maintenance bypass switch that is located at the Pacific Institution in Buildings B, C, and F. The existing UPS serves the Electronic Security Systems (ESS) equipment in the central equipment room and is monitored by the existing Genetec Security system via four dry alarm contacts: AC Failure, Battery Low, General Fault and UPS offline.

    ****MANDATORY VIRTUAL SITE VISIT**** for Thursday August 15, 2024, see SI03 (page 4), and confirmation required by Monday August 12, 2024

    Deliverables:
    • Supply fully functioning UPS system at the location specified in the information package provided to bidders during the virtual site visit that meet the technical requirements described in Technical Requirements and Specifications - 28 05 07 - Specification - UPS – EN
    • Provide all reports, plans, and documentation identified in Section 3, Documentation Deliverables
    • Provide operator training in accordance with the approved Operator Training Plan to the site’s National Maintenance Contactor personnel
    • Provide maintenance training in accordance with the approved Maintenance Training Plan to the site’s National Maintenance Contractor personnel
    • Perform a successful Acceptance Test at the site witnessed and signed-off by the Technical Authority or delegate.

    Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none.

    The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within sixteen (16) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
