    This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Atlantic region.

    Policy on Reciprocal Procurement:

    This solicitation is open only to Canadian suppliers and to Suppliers of an applicable trading partner.

    Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid.

    Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business:

    This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Indigenous Suppliers.

    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement:

    This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.

    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement for Waste Management Services for six (6) locations in the Atlantic Region.

    Objectives: The Contractor must remove and dispose of waste of the following categories: organics, recycling, garbage, metal and construction. The Contractor must provide all labour, consumables, tools, supervision and equipment necessary to provide waste and recycling management services.

    The Contractor must provide waste and recycling management services at one or more of the following locations. Please refer to the Request for Proposal, Part 4 - Article 2. Basis of Selection for more information on how contract(s) will be awarded.

    Deliverables:

    The Contractor must provide a copy of the weight bill from the landfill operator clearly showing the date, weight, cost per ton, and the total tipping cost. If the type of waste cannot be weighed, the Contractor must provide an estimated weight. The Project Authority must approve the estimation method. The Contractor must provide a monthly report containing all waste category information to CSC.

    The Contractor must charge tipping fees directly to CSC at cost, without overhead, markup or profit.

    The Contractor must perform all work in English.

    Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none.

    Duration of Contract and Time Frame for Delivery:

    Period of the Contract: The Work is to be performed during the period of August 1, 2026 to July 31, 2027 with the option to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods.
