    Description
This Request for Supplier Qualification is an invitation by the University of Ottawa to general contractors to submit proposals to be prequalified for a multi-year project to design and construct the Advanced Medical Research Complex (AMRC) at the University of Ottawa's Alta Vista Campus.

The complex will be constructed in the existing parking lot footprint at Roger Guindon and the University is choosing the Design Build model to create it. The current schedule calls for selection of prequalified general contractors to be completed by March 2023, construction to start October 2023 with substantial completion by December 2025.

AMRC is proposed to be constructed adjacent to existing Roger Guindon building at 451 Smyth Road, Ottawa, ON.

The new 350,000 SF purpose-built infrastructure will support uO’s local and global ambitions, drive innovation, and attract the world’s brightest students, researchers, and experts. The LEED Gold certified facility will lessen uO’s economic and environmental footprint and benefit from the latest technology and sustainable design techniques. The facility will offer world-class research and training environments to the Faculty of Medicine.
