    Description of Procurement
    This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation to prospective Proponents to submit a Proposal for Catering Staffing Services for Toronto Metropolitan University

    The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation.  An electronic auction is not anticipated.

    Submissions must be submitted electronically at http://ryerson.bonfirehub.ca  on or before April 3rd, 2023 at 11:00:00 AM EST.

    The submissions will not be opened publicly.

    Insurance
    a)           Commercial General liability insurance in the amount of not less than five million dollars ($5,000,000.00) for any one occurrence for bodily injury, property damage including loss of use, or death. Such insurance shall, at a minimum, include coverage of broad form property damage, contractual liability, completed operations and product liability and such other types of insurance as would be carried by a prudent person performing such services and as the Toronto Metropolitan University(TMU), may from time to time, require. Such policy shall include;
    • Toronto Metropolitan University as  an additional named insured with respect to liability arising in the course of performance of the Supplier’s obligations under, or otherwise in connection with, the Agreement
    • a cross liability/severability of interests clause
    • Fungi Exclusion - exception for fungi or spores in products of the Named Insured that are intended for human or animal consumption or topical application

    b)           Standard automobile insurance for all vehicles owned, licensed or leased by the Supplier and non-owned automobile insurance, where required, for an amount of not less than two million dollars ($2,000,000.00), per occurrence for each type of coverage. Where the non-owned automobile insurance coverage is provided within a general liability policy, a separate policy is not required;


    WSIB
    A clearance certificate from the Ontario Workplace Safety Insurance Board, or if the Successful Proponent is not subject to the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (Ontario), evidence of employers’ liability coverage in the amounts set out in the Final Agreement (as applicable)

    Contract Details
    The term of the Final Agreement is three (3) years, plus two (2) optional renewal periods of one (1) year each, at the discretion of the University.
