    Description:
    The RFP is an invitation to submit offers for the Supply, Implementation and Support of an Animal Research Management Software solution(s).

    A modular solution is required to facilitate ethics forms review and approval, facility management, animal procurement and census, institutional biohazard committee facilitation, veterinary care management, and invoicing.

    Western requires the following functionality, at minimum, for animal-based science management in Canada:
    •            Animal Use Protocol Management
    •            Cage and Animal Census
    •            Animal Procurement
    •            Invoicing
    •            Veterinary Care / Clinical Case Management
    •            Animal User Training
    •            Post-Approval Monitoring
    •            Institutional Biohazard Committee administration

    The solution(s) must be capable of hosting multiple distinct sites with different cost centres, with centralized Animal Care Committee (ACC) oversight. 

    Western will consider implementing modules from multiple Proponents to meet the minimum functionality requirements outlined.

    This procurement is covered by Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).

    This procurement is covered by Chapter 19 of the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA).

    Delivery Date:
    Project to commence in the fall of 2023 with solution implemented by mid-year 2025.

    Duration of Agreement:
    The term of the Agreement is to be for a period of three (3) years), with an option in favour of Western to extend the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for an additional term of up to five (5) one (1) year terms.
