Description of Procurement
This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation to prospective Proponents to submit a Proposal for Facility Maintenance and Operations Services for Student Residence for Toronto Metropolitan University
The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.

Award of Final Agreement
1. Insurance
- Commercial general liability insurance on an occurrence basis for third party bodily injury, personal injury and property damage, to an inclusive limit of not less than $5,000,000 per occurrence and including products and completed operations liability. The policy is to include the following:
- the University as an additional named insured with respect to liability arising in the course of performance of the Supplier’s obligations under, or otherwise in connection with, the Agreement
- Contractual liability coverage
- Cross-liability and severability of interests clause
- employers liability coverage (or compliance with the paragraph below entitled “Proof of W.S.I.A. Coverage” is required)
- 30 day written notice of cancellation, termination or material change
- tenants legal liability coverage (if applicable and with suitable sub-limits)
- non-owned automobile coverage with blanket contractual coverage for hired automobiles
- Standard automobile insurance for all vehicles owned, licensed or leased by the Supplier and non-owned automobile insurance, where required, for an amount of not less than two million dollars ($2,000,000.00), per occurrence for each type of coverage. Where the non-owned automobile insurance coverage is provided within a general liability policy, a separate policy is not required;

A clearance certificate from the Ontario Workplace Safety Insurance Board, or if the Successful Proponent is not subject to the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (Ontario), evidence of employers’ liability coverage in the amounts set out in the Final Agreement (as applicable)

Contract Details
The term of the Final Agreement is three (3) years, plus two (2) optional renewal periods of one (1) year each, at the discretion of the University.
