    Description
    This RFP is issued and will be administered by Grand River Hospital on behalf of and for the benefit of Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital (“Hospitals”). This RFP is issued to solicit written submissions (“Proposals”) from interested Proponents, including but not limited to landowners, consortium of landowners, and municipalities, that submits land owned or controlled by the Proponent for the Hospitals’ consideration, selection and protection of land to develop a new acute care facility in the Kitchener-Waterloo region. The RFP Process is composed of two (2) stages: Stage 1 is open to all interested parties and Proposals will be evaluated against a number of Mandatory Criteria listed in the RFP. Proponents that meet all Mandatory Criteria in Stage 1 will be advised that they have cleared Stage 1, and will be asked to submit additional information about their site in Stage 2 for evaluation by the Site Selection Committee. The Hospitals intend to enter into an option to purchase two (2) Selected Sites - One (1) preferred site and one (1) alternate site, and subsequently purchase one (1) Awarded Site.
