Description:
This RFP is being issued to obtain Proposals for a highly qualified and experienced Agency of Record (“AOR”) to provide strategic creative services and media planning/buying for York University. The AOR shall be the principal advisor and provider to York University for strategic brand management targeted to a variety of audiences. The AOR shall partner with York to meet its key objectives.
Each year York University executes a comprehensive and integrated marketing plan that clearly communicates the University’s distinctiveness, academic excellence and value it brings to the world. The AOR shall partner with York to meet key objectives such as:

• Heighten its profile and enhance its brand image
• Achieve and exceed enrolment and retention targets
• Build awareness of the diverse, forward-thinking and outstanding research and programs offered at York

The AOR shall be able to:

1. 1. 1. Lead a strategic discussion on York’s brand essence and positioning and its further refinement and development;
      2. Recommend strategies to expand the impact of York’s advertising campaign(s)/marketing plans to target audiences beyond traditional/digital advertising (i.e., sponsorships, activations etc.) within the available budget; and
      3. Demonstrate a high inclination to use qualitative or quantitative research in the development of strategic platforms for the basis of campaigns and have strong methodology for measuring effectiveness of agency advertising programs and integrated marketing efforts.

Delivery Date:
Service implemented by a tentative date of April 1, 2024 


Duration of Agreement:
The initial term of the Agreement shall be for thirty-six (36) months, with two (2) optional twelve (12) month extensions; for a potential Term of sixty (60) months.

Negotiation:
York reserves the right in its sole discretion to negotiate modifications to any Proposal received without becoming obligated to offer to negotiate with any other Proponent(s).
