    Description
    Manitoba Hydro requires support to establish a variety of project management (PM) systems within the Project Management Division to deliver our capital portfolio.  The PM systems will be established through the planning, development and implementation of key initiatives. The goal is to develop and align PM systems across the generation, transmission and distribution energy streams and advance the maturity of our project delivery practices.
    Each initiative is led by a different initiative lead within the Project Management Centre of Expertise Department. Consultant personnel will support the respective initiative lead by:
          1. Providing expert guidance, support, and recommendations throughout the initiative planning, development and implementation phases.
          2. Advising on industry best practices with respect to each initiative.
          3. Working hand-in-hand with the initiative lead(s), along with other Manitoba Hydro staff, to develop and implement these systems, specifically to meet Manitoba Hydro’s requirements. In some cases, this will involve helping our staff to develop our internal capabilities.
          4. Supporting the initiative lead to develop change management plans as required.
    The Consultant will provide staff experienced in successfully developing and implementing similar scope at comparable industry peer organizations (i.e. Canadian electric utilities or the Canadian construction sector focused on major capital projects). Manitoba Hydro staff will operate, monitor and improve the systems going forward. Manitoba Hydro is not looking for turnkey solutions, but rather to work collaboratively with the selected Consultant(s).
