    Description
Manitoba Transportation & Infrastructure (MTI) instrumented 20 bridges in the Province in 2017 with sensors as part of a Bridge Performance Management System (BPMS) to measure, monitor, analyze and report in real time the condition or state of the bridge. This included reporting on peak sensor measurements, load sharing, overloads and water elevations. The bridges were chosen based on their type, condition, and route location. A period of over six years of data has been collected with information on the loading conditions on the bridges.
MTI requires the continuation of the structural health monitoring of the 20 bridges via a BPMS for a period of 24 months.
