Description:
The RFP is an invitation to submit offers for The Supply and Install of Bioreactors for Biotherapeutic Antibody Development.
Biotherapeutics, typified by monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) targeting protein kinases or immune checkpoints, have demonstrated exceptional efficacies on many diseases.
Our goal is to obtain a suite of bioreactors capable of automating the growth and expression of recombinant proteins and antibodies in our workflows related to cell line screening and protein production and condition optimization from mammalian cells.
The proposed instrumentation will be integrated into the multi-user Western Biotherapeutics Centre in the Department of Biochemistry at Western.  This brand-new research core will enable us to discover and develop first-in-class therapeutic mAbs and biologics.
This instrumentation suite will allow us to screen and expand hybridoma or mammalian cell lines from pilot to 30 L for generating recombinant antibodies. Acquisition of such a system will accelerate the discovery and development of therapeutic antibodies and biologics.
