    D2. SCOPE OF SERVICES
    D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of proving accessible public transportation services for the period of November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2026.
    D2.1.1 Proponents are advised that, in future, the City may be participating in collaborative procurement initiatives with other levels of government. Accordingly, extensions to this Contract may not be exercised.
    D2.2 If the Contract start date is delayed through no fault of the Contractor, the Contract period will be two (2) years from the actual start date of the Work. The start date is defined as the 1st day that any vehicle(s) delivers service under this Contract.
    D2.3 The major components of the Work are as follows:
    (a) providing accessible public transportation (paratransit) to persons unable to make use of the City’s conventional transit services due to a disability and who may require assistance to/from and into/out of the vehicle:
    (i) persons travelling on Winnipeg Transit Plus may be ambulatory, or may use a mobility aid or medical device such as a cane, walker or wheelchair.
    (ii) for the purposes of this Contract, any persons who travel in wheelchairs will transfer to and remain seated in a vehicle seat while travelling, and their wheelchair will be folded and placed securely in the storage area of the vehicle. As such, wheelchair and/or scooter securements for the vehicle are not required.

      The estimated contract period will be 24 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/11/01.
