    Description
    The Project is located at the University of Ottawa Power Plant at 720 King Edward on the University of Ottawa campus and shall be executed in two phases:

    Phase 1:
    - Includes the removal of the Boiler #2 including designated substance abatement.
    - This phase will be awarded using a CCDC2-2008 – Stipulated Price Contract.

    Phase 2:
    - Includes the relocation of Boilers 5 & 6 from the outside enclosure to inside the Power Plant and all associated work for a complete working system. Boilers 5 & 6 relocation shall start April 1, 2025, or later weather depending and shall be fully operational by September 30, 2025.
    - This phase will be awarded using a CCDC5b-2010 – Construction Management Contract.

    The Scope of work shall include but is not limited to:
    1. Removal of the Boiler #2 including designated substance abatement and all associated equipment such as air preheater, forced draft fan, section of interior stack, and associated piping etc.
    2. Removal of the exterior wall and associated loading dock door to allow the moving of the boilers. Reinstate wall and doors at the completion of the project.
    3. Relocation of Boilers 5 & 6 from the outside enclosure to inside the Power Plant. This includes any reconfiguration or installation of associated piping, equipment, new boiler controls connected to the main control room (ABB), etc.
    4. The new boiler layout to allow sufficient space to permit a future 3rd 35,000 pph boiler with economizer.
    5. Installation of an internal or external economizers for the boilers 5 & 6.
    6. All required structural & civil work as required to support the boilers 5 & 6 in the Power Plant.
    7. Roofing work for the potential installation of the new stacks and replacement of the broken floor tiles as required.
    8. Removal and modification of the mezzanine for new boilers to be installed.
