SCOPE OF WORK
Road Renewal Scope of Work:
Item 1:
  • Keenora Dr between 1st Ave & Gimli Beach Dr
    • Existing Asphalt Area = 425 m2
      • Mill 25 mm and haul away asphalt millings.
    • North Side Parking Area = 85 m2
      • Excavate the parking area, remove material to depth of 450 mm below final asphalt grade.
      • Place layer of geotextile.
      • Backfill 250 mm of compacted limestone subbase.
      • Backfill 150 mm of compacted limestone base course.
      • Overlay 1x50mm asphalt over the parking area to match existing milled driving area.
    • Resurface Entire Area = 510 m2
      • Apply tack oil to the milled & reconstructed surfaces.
      • Overlay 1x50 mm asphalt over the entire area flush to restore the road to a smooth driving surface, with no shoulder drop off.
Item 2:
  • Goldfield Dr between 1st Ave & Gimli Beach Dr
    • Existing Asphalt Area = 456 m2
      • Mill 25 mm and haul away asphalt millings.
    • Resurface Entire Area = 456 m2
      • Apply tack oil to the milled & reconstructed surfaces.
      • Overlay 1x50 mm asphalt over the entire area flush to restore the road to a smooth driving surface, with no shoulder drop off.
Item 3:
  • Lakeshore Dr between Spruce Bay Rd & North Entrance to Geoffrey Bay
    • Existing Asphalt Area = 1980 m2
      • Mill 50 mm leave in place use as base to prep/compact area.
    • Localized Subgrade repair
      • Excavate the subgrade failure area (26 m2), remove material to depth of 400 mm below grade.
      • Place layer of geotextile.
      • Backfill 250 mm of compacted limestone subbase.
      • Backfill 150 mm of compacted limestone base course.
    • Resurface Entire Area = 1980 m2
      • Apply tack oil to the compacted surface.
      • Overlay 1x50 mm asphalt over entire area flush to restore the road including radius at Spruce Bay RD to a smooth driving surface, with no shoulder drop off.
Item 4:
  • Ramsay Rd between Jonasson Rd & Boundary Rd
    • Existing Asphalt Area = 6540 m2
      • Mill 50mm and haul away asphalt millings.
    • Resurface Entire Area = 6540 m2
      • Apply tack oil to the milled surface.
      • Overlay 1x50 mm asphalt over entire area flush to restore the road to a smooth driving surface, with no shoulder drop off.

Item 5:
  • 5th St between Colville Dr & Sigmund Ave
    • Prepare existing Asphalt Area = 1885 m2
      • Mill or pulverize existing pavement and leave in place.
      • Grade & compact surface to a smooth base
    • Resurface Entire Area = 1885 m2
      • Apply tack oil to the prepared surface.
      • Overlay 200 mm reclaimed asphalt over entire area
      • Rejuvenate the reclaimed asphalt by injecting Reclamite with mill/reclaimer to ensure proper blending.
      • Shape/grade area for 3% grade and compact area
Item 6:
  • 6th St between 150 6th St & Sigmund Ave
    • Existing Asphalt Area = 1027 m2
      • Mill or pulverize existing pavement and leave in place.
      • Grade & compact surface to a smooth base
    • Resurface Entire Area = 1027 m2
      • Apply tack oil to the prepared surface.
      • Overlay 200mm reclaimed asphalt over entire area
      • Rejuvenate the reclaimed asphalt by injecting Reclamite with mill/reclaimer to ensure proper blending.
      • Shape/grade area for 3% grade and compact area
