located on McMaster University campus, at 1280 Main Street West, Hamilton, by delivering the following:
- Clear communication related to custodial and cleaning issues, transparent and accurate reporting
- Full compliance with the provided specifications and service levels as outlined in this document
- Prompt responses to any additional requests for service from the building owner
- Proper supervision of the workers and good management practices
- A 24/7 contact to respond to after-hour / week-end calls and emergencies
- Regular monthly meetings with the Owner’s representatives to review the quality of work
The IAHS building is co-owned by McMaster University and Mohawk College and consists of a Basement, First Floor, Second Floor, Third Floor, Fourth Floor and a Penthouse. Building features offices, classrooms and lecture halls, labs, library, washrooms, kitchenettes, lunch rooms, cafeteria, atrium, eating area, storage rooms, stairs, elevators, and other utility and service rooms. The building's gross area is 179,280 sq. ft. The building has in excess of 800 full-time equivalent students and over 80 full-time staff and faculty. In addition to the full-time students and staff, various special courses, seminars, and workshops are held after hours or on weekends, bringing in students, visitors, and guests to the building. The coffee shop and eatery on the main floor also attracts many visitors to the building.
Custodial services will be managed primarily by the College's administrative staff in the IAHS Building.
