    D2. SCOPE OF WORK
    D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the removal and replacement of the GWWD Railway Mile 41.3 Railway Bridge over the Brokenhead River, and all related track work and site work as described within these specifications.
    D2.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
    (a) Demolition/dismantling, salvage and removal of existing timber bridge and components;
    (b) Excavation and cutting of previous timber and steel piles;
    (c) Supply and Installation of driven steel H-piles;
    (d) Construction of two (2) cast in-place concrete abutments and cast in-place concrete wingwalls;
    (e) Supply and installation of bridge bearings;
    (f) Fabrication of the steel through-plate girder superstructure;
    (g) Removal and sorting of salvageable track material and disposal of non-salvageable material;
    (h) Construction, lifting, lining, tamping and surfacing of track on bridge approaches;
    (i) Construction and lining of track on bridge;
    (j) Grading bridge embankments; and
    (k) Site work and riprap installation.
    D2.3 The following shall apply to the Services:

    D2.4 The funds available for this contract are $3,200,000.00.
