Description:
York University Faculty of Science is seeking to acquire an entry level compact Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) with 120kV accelerating voltage. The Microscope must operate in Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM) mode and be equipped with a High-Angle Annular Dark-Field (HAADF) detector and Volume Microscopy/Tomography tools.
The microscope will be installed in a shared core facility and must deliver high throughput, automation and ease of use for novice and expert users.
The proposed system shall be a modern, fully digital TEM/STEM platform with integrated hardware and software designed and manufactured by a single vendor.
To ensure long-term compatibility and serviceability, third-party cameras, detectors or control software are not acceptable.
A floor model with a small footprint and a modular design is requested.
Cryogenic capability and Elemental Analysis Suite are not required for the base configuration, however a system supporting future upgrades is preferable.
The Microscope must demonstrate flexibility to image a wide range of applications for Life Sciences and Materials Science.
