    Description
    D2.          SCOPE OF WORK

    D2.1        The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of a Community Garden located at 
    the Old Exhibition Grounds near the intersection of Sinclair Street and Dufferin Avenue in 
    Winnipeg, Manitoba.

    D2.2        The major components of the Work are as follows:
    D2.2.1             Protection of existing infrastructure including: above and below ground 
    utilities, manholes, buildings, stairs, light poles, site furniture, play equipment, sidewalks, 
    asphalt, trees, fencing, rip rap, culverts, etc;
    D2.2.2             Removal of existing light poles
    D2.2.3             Removal of chain link fence 
    D2.2.4             Removal of existing trees
    D2.2.5             Removal of asphalt and subgrade
    D2.2.6             Removal of sod, topsoil and subgrade
    D2.2.7             Removal of granular pathway and subgrade
    D2.2.8             Protection and use of existing meter pit
    D2.2.9             Protection of existing trees including root pruning of exposed tree roots 
    D2.2.10           Earthwork and grading
    D2.2.11           Construction of concrete sidewalk
    D2.2.12           Construction of Reinforced concrete path
    D2.2.13           Construction of footbridges including concrete foundations
    D2.2.14           Construction of community garden sign
    D2.2.15           Construction of compost bin
    D2.2.16           Construction of park path crushed limestone path
    D2.2.17           Chain link fence modification
    D2.2.18           Supply and install catch basin rings
    D2.2.19           Relocate memorial plaque
    D2.2.20           Supply and installation of accessible planters
    D2.2.21           Installation of planter boxes
    D2.2.22           Supply and installation of accessible picnic table
    D2.2.23           Supply and installation of picnic tables
    D2.2.24           Supply and installation of harvest tables and benches
    D2.2.25           Supply and installation of water tote and accessories

    D2.2.26           Supply and installation of waste receptacles
    D2.2.27           Supply and placement of planting medium
    D2.2.28           Sodding
    D2.2.29           Supply and installation of trees, shrubs and perennials
    D2.2.30           Supply and installation of wood mulch pathway
    D2.2.31           Two (2) year landscape maintenance
    D2.2.32           New water service connection from existing mains to the existing meter pit. 
    D2.2.33           New seasonal water service connection from meter pit to new hose bib.
    D2.2.34           Supply and installation of new seasonal water service connection from meter pit 
    to new water fountain
    D2.2.35           Supply and installation of new hose bib
    D2.2.36           Supply and installation of concrete pad for new fountain
    D2.2.37           Supply and installation of new fountain including drain line and drain pit 
    D2.2.38           Catch  basin adjustment
    D2.2.39           Restorations
    D2.2.40           Refer to Bienenstock drawings for a description of items of work associated with 
    Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds

    D2.3        The funds available for this contract are $675,000.
