Description
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Coordinating Entity to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Provision of Radiographic Fluoroscopy Equipment and Service as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).
The Coordinating Entity, as identified on the cover page, is issuing this RFP and administering the RFP process on behalf of the Purchaser(s) identified in Section B – Material Disclosures of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D). The clinical requirements for the equipment are outlined within this proposal.
In consideration of Shared Health’s procurement policies and applicable trade agreements, for this solicitation, preference will be given to Canadian and Non-United States suppliers who have submitted compliant submissions meeting all essential requirements of the solicitation. Shared Health may re-issue this tender at its sole discretion.
For each option submitted, if more than one option is submitted, Proponents may also submit a proposal for Post-warranty services which may or may not form part of this Agreement. As a member of the Canadian Medical Equipment Protection Plan, Shared Health reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to accept any proposal submitted with or without accepting the proposal for Post-Warranty services submitted or associated therewith, if any.
The scope of the work shall include connection to the Provincial Picture Archiving & Communications System (PACS). Proponents must satisfy themselves that they understand all devices that must be integrated. All costs and work needed to achieve this communication should be included in the proposal. Any costs for network infrastructure changes required to accomplish this interface at all sites must be clearly specified.
Acceptance testing will be performed by Shared Health, CCMB Imaging Physics or entities of which Shared Health is the contracting agent of. The Equipment must meet the performance specifications supplied by the successful Proponents.
It is Shared Health’s intent to enter into a five (5) year agreement with the successful proponent for the equipment with the option, at the sole discretion of Shared Health, to extend the equipment purchase agreement for three (3) additional one (1) year option terms. If, at the sole discretion of Shared Health, it wishes to accept the terms of any Post-Warranty service agreement offered as part of this RFP, it shall have the right to enter into a five (5) year term service agreement with the successful Proponent. There will be the option to extend the awarded service Agreement for two (2) additional terms of one (1) year. The decision to exercise the optional terms shall be at the sole discretion of Shared Health. This RFP may be awarded in whole or in part based upon the best economic interests of the designated sites, and in accordance with the evaluation criteria as outlined.

- receive proposals that meet the requirements of the RFP and contain sufficient information for Shared Health to select the Selected Proponents. Proposals will be analyzed and Proponents may be asked to meet with Shared Health to provide additional information; and
- establish a contract between the Selected Proponents and Shared Health to perform the services and provide the equipment as outlined in this RFP.
