    DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
    The University of Toronto Scarborough, Facilities Management Department is seeking proposals for caretaking services for two newly constructed buildings:   Myron and Berna Garron Health Sciences Complex (SAMIH) and Retail & Parking Commons. 
    Myron and Berna Garron Health Sciences Complex (SAMIH), 840 Military Trail, Toronto, Ontario, M1C 0C7 is approximately 13,422.89 m² / 144,482.76 ft² and includes a basement, Levels 1 through 6, and roof level areas. The building includes clinical and health services areas, simulation and teaching spaces, classrooms, offices, research/laboratory support spaces, dining areas, washrooms, corridors, elevators, stairwells, storage and support areas, and a basement parking area. Floor finishes include vinyl sheet flooring, sealed/polished concrete, tile, carpet, epoxy flooring, rubber flooring, specialty flooring, walk-off matting, and related wall/base finishes.
    Retail & Parking Commons, 40 Pan Am Drive, Toronto, Ontario, has a gross area of approximately 36,846 m² / 396,607 ft², and a building area of approximately 7,323 m² / 78,824 ft².The facility is an open-air parking garage with retail and office components and includes parking levels, retail/bookstore areas, parking office areas, washrooms, elevators, elevator waiting areas, stairwells, a tunnel connection to the Sam Ibrahim Building (SIB), garbage/recycling receptacle locations, loading/dock areas, and related public and back-of-house support spaces. Floor finishes include sealed concrete, polished concrete, tile, vinyl flooring, recessed pedimat grids, and related finishes.
