    MAY 31, 2024 - Addendum #1 to Request for Proposal #RFP24-038 has been issued to EXTEND the Closing Date and Time to TUESDAY, JULY 9, 2024 @ 3:00 PM (Atlantic Time), and hold a SUPPLEMENTARY PRE-BID SITE MEETING, which will take place on THURSDAY, JUNE 6, 2024 @ 9:30 AM (Atlantic Time), beginning at the City of Moncton's Operations Centre, located at 100 Worthington Ave., Moncton, NB. The meeting will then proceed to the Magnetic Hill Zoo, located at 125 Magic Mountain Rd., Moncton, NB.

    The purpose of the Supplementary Pre-Bid Site Meeting will be to allow Proponents to view existing computer network equipment and site conditions at the Operations Centre and Magnetic Hill Zoo.

    Bid responses will be accepted by the City of Moncton in a DIGITAL FORMAT through the City of Moncton's "Bids&Tenders" electronic bidding platform (http://moncton.bidsandtenders.ca).

    The City will NOT accept Proposals submitted in a printed format.

    Electronic Bid Submission:

    (a) Bids shall be submitted through the City of Moncton's "Bids&Tenders" electronic bidding platform (http://moncton.bidsandtenders.ca) prior to the official Closing Date and Time specified herein.

    (b) A "Vendor Account" must be created in order to register as an official "Plan Taker" for this bidding opportunity, and submit an electronic bid response.

    (c) Detailed instructions on how to create a "Vendor Account" and submit an electronic bid are available through the City of Moncton's website (http://www.moncton.ca/bidding-opportunities).

    PURPOSE:

    Through the award of this Request for Proposal, the City of Moncton is seeking to engage the services of a well-established, qualified and experienced commercial radio equipment and service provider to supply portable and mobile radios, communications infrastructure, and communications services to various operational divisions within the City of Moncton.


    PRE-BID SITE MEETING:

    A PRE-BID SITE MEETING will be held THURSDAY, MAY 30, 2024 @ 9:00 A.M. - ATLANTIC TIME at the CITY OF MONCTON'S OPERATIONS CENTRE, located at 100 WORTHINGTON AVENUE, MONCTON, N.B. to provide interested Bidders with an opportunity to view existing site conditions and equipment and seek clarification regarding the proposed Scope of Work.


    ELIGIBILITY OF PROPONENTS:

    Proposals shall be considered from established firms who have been in the business of supplying 2-way radio communication services and commercial-grade equipment for a minimum of seven (7) years, are financially stable, can provide a minimum of five (5) clients for whom they have provided similar services to that specified in the RFP within the last five (5) year period, and have sufficient labour, equipment and resources to provide reliable, timely, and professional services to the City of Moncton in the manner and capacity required.

    All equipment Manufacturers of 2-way mobile and portable radios, repeaters and towers that are intended to be used by the Proponent to fulfill the product and service requirements of this RFP shall be firms who have been in the business of manufacturing and assembling industry-recognized, high-quality, durable, 2-way radio equipment, software, components and accessories for a minimum of five (5) years.


    PROPOSED CONTRACT TERM:

    The initial term of this agreement shall be for a five (5) year period, commencing from the date of award. The City may exercise an option to extend the agreement for up to five (5) additional one (1) year periods, if it is in the City's best interest to do so.
