RFSQ for Medical Death Investigators Onboard March 2024

This Request for Supplier Qualifications (“RFSQ”) is an invitation by the Province of Nova Scotia (the “Province”) on behalf of the Department of Service Nova Scotia and Internal Services (SNS-IS) to prospective respondents to qualify to provide Medical Death Investigator Services as further described in the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). This RFSQ is being conducted pursuant to the Nova Scotia Sustainable Procurement Policy and Procurement Manual. Initial offerings RFSQ # Doc285551392, RFSQ # Doc1071235876, RFSQ # Doc1280678985, and RFSQ # Doc1412446281 were posted to the Nova Scotia Public Tenders Website. In accordance with Section 2.5 of RFSQ Doc285551392, this document provides the opportunity for additional vendors to respond to this offering. Under the direction of the Supervisor of Investigations, the Medical Death Investigator (MDI) will be responsible for the investigations of sudden death in the province of Nova Scotia. This includes receiving notification, obtaining the appropriate information, deciding if it is a medical examiner case, consulting with and updating the on-call medical examiner, contacting a local police force, arranging body transportation, making autopsy arrangements (if necessary), and communication with family.
