Description
The Inventory & Supply Chain Section of Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for providing a variety of services that includes the purchase, delivery, storage, and installation of various goods that conform with the Province’s criteria.
The scope of this RFSQ is to acquire Third Party Logistics Services Provider(s) to provide support services for various construction projects across Nova Scotia including School Capital Construction projects. Respondent(s) will provide a variety of 3PL services including but not limited to offloading trailers, receiving goods & verifying packing slips for accuracy, both short and long-term storage of goods, and timely distribution services. Respondent(s) may bid on one or more regions defined below provided it has a physical warehouse within the region(s) it is bidding on.
Under the terms and conditions of the RFSQ, these services will be accessed on an 'as requested' basis. As further described in Section 3.1.10 No Guarantee of Volume of Work or Exclusivity of Contract, Successful Respondent(s) placed on the qualified list are not guaranteed an offer of work or a guarantee that any minimum purchase volumes will be reached through this RFSQ. When a need for Services occurs, DPW will issue an invitation to quote via a 'Call-Up', a second stage process by requesting a quote from Successful Respondent(s) for response. A response will be evaluated at the time of Call-up and selection will be in accordance with the criteria indicated in the Call-Up.
Respondent(s) will be expected to have a secure warehouse and be able to deliver stored goods anywhere within Nova Scotia
