Description
The Municipality of the District of Chester (MODC) is seeking proposals from professional hydrogeologists to implement and oversee the groundwater, surface water, and leachate monitoring program for the Kaizer Meadow Environmental Management Centre (KMEMC) for 2026 through 2028 calendar years. MODC owns and operates the KMEMC located at 450 Kaizer Meadow Road, Sherwood, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, off Highway 14. This facility primarily serves residents of Lunenburg, Kings, and Annapolis Counties. KMEMC consists of a 2nd generation landfill, a construction and demolition debris disposal area (located on top of a closed 1st generation landfill), two (2) septage disposal lagoons, a leachate treatment facility and evapotranspiration dispersal field, contaminated soil pad, and public drop-off area.
